MCSP (GradDipPhys)
I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1990 from the North London School in Highgate.
Having spent 6 years gaining experience within the NHS in a variety of clinical areas,
I moved into private practice.
I was lucky enough to be part of the UK Athletics team, firstly as a competing athlete and then as part of the Medical Team.
Helped by the skills of some of the best manual therapists in the country, I developed an increasing interest in muscle and joint pain, sports injuries, whiplash and traumatic injury, Pilates-based rehab and pain relief acupuncture.
Through continued professional training, I now teach acupuncture/dry needling regularly across the therapies, with a special interest in chronic low back pain.
I enjoy the challenge of successfully diagnosing a problem and taking a clear and focused approach to clearing it. I like to encourage patients to be part of that process, by gaining a good understanding of their body mechanics and learning how to improve this.
Having worked previously in my own clinics in both Oxfordshire and Surrey, I am now hoping to build a new practice within Taunton Chiropractic Clinic as an Independent Physiotherapist but working within a cross-therapy team.
